On 10 January 2023, the Institute for Development Studies (Sabah) (IDS) and Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at IDS Hall, Wisma IDS. The MoU was signed by IDS CEO, Datuk Ts. Dr. Ramzah Dambul and UMS Vice Chancellor, Prof. Datuk Dr. Kasim Hj. Mansor. The signing ceremony was witnessed by IDS Chairperson Datuk Adeline Leong and UMS Dean of Faculty of Business, Economics and Accountancy, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mohd. Rahimie Abd. Karim. IDS COO Puan Hjh. Hasnah Samsudin and UMS Registrar Mr. Luqman Ridha Anwar both signed as witnesses.
