A talk on Representation and Misrepresentation of Sabahan Identity in Visual Media was presented by Mr. Jared Abdul Rahman, Head of Visual Arts Division, Sabah Human Development & Empowerment Association (SAHDEA) to IDS Staff at IDS Hall, Wisma IDS on 15th November 2022. The purpose of this talk was to highlight some key examples of misrepresentation of the Sabahan identity, as committed by Sabahans and non-Sabahans alike and to discuss ways in which Sabahan identity can perhaps be better represented.
