Should the Sabah State Government proceed to take full control of SESB from TNB?

Poll result:
75% Respondent YES
19% Respondent NO
6% Respondent NOT SURE

In January this year, it was announced that the Federal Cabinet had agreed to start the process of returning the ownership of Sabah Electricity Sdn Bhd (SESB) to the Sabah government. It has been 22 years since Sabah surrendered its power over the company to Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB).

Currently, the main stakeholders of SESB are TNB (80%) and Sabah State Government (20%). It is expected that a fully state-owned SESB will be in a better position to understand the power supply needs of both the public and industries, and economic development in Sabah.
