On Thursday, 1 September 2022, delegates from the British High Commission in Kuala Lumpur, Adelene Teo (Economic Adviser) and Aaron Kual (Health Adviser), paid a courtesy visit to the Institute for Development Studies (Sabah). Mr. Richard T. Koh (Chief Research Officer) of IDS representing IDS Chief Executive Officer, Ts. Dr. Ramzah Dambul welcomed the delegates in IDS Office, Wisma IDS, Kota Kinabalu. The purpose of the visit is to gain a better understanding the organization’s research areas and priorities, as well as to discuss Sabah’s latest economic and trade environment, strengths and challenges, the role and impact of State-Owned Enterprises in the state’s economic development, the State-Federal relationship, particularly under the Malaysia Agreement 1963, the impact of climate change from the socio-economic perspective and the state’s journey forward. Also present from IDS were Azaharruddin Hassanuddin (Chief Strategy Officer), Anita Limjoon (Associate Director), Senior Research Associates, Mansalasah Bin Musa, Julianna Ringgingon and Jesi Mojungki and Masneh Binti Abd Ghani (Research Associate).
